RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH STATE DEPART-
MENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
CONCERNING A WILDFLOWER SEEDING PROJECT ON
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 44.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has requested State
participation in a Landscape Development Matching Program project
along select portions of Interstate Highway 44 from Wichita Falls
to Burkburnett, which would consist of a wildflower seeding
project, whereby the City would contribute $2, 500 and the State
would provide funds in an amount not to exceed $2,500; and,
WHEREAS, State Highway and Public Transportation Commission
Minute Order 86198, dated August 31, 1987, authorizes the State
to cooperate with the City in the development of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract, a copy of which is attached hereto, between
the State of Texas and the City of Wichita Falls, providing for
this Landscape Development Matching Program, is hereby approved,
and the City Manager is authorized to execute the same for the
City of Wichita Falls.
