RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS
AS BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTING FOR AND BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AND THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING REINVEST-
MENT ZONE #1 IN DEALING WITH VARIOUS AGENCIES
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SEEKING FUNDING FOR A FEA-
SIBILITY STUDY FOR THE ZONE' S PROJECT PLAN AND
FINANCE PLAN: AUTHORIZING CITY OFFICIALS TO
MAKE APPLICATION, PROVIDE ASSURANCES AND EXE-
CUTE GRANT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Tax Increment Financing Board of Directors
is nearing completion on the Project phase of the Reinvestment
Zone Project and Finance Plan; and
WHEREAS, work on the Finance Plan will soon begin; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors believes a feasibility
study is vitally necessary upon completion of the Project Plan
and Financing Plan; and
WHEREAS, the most prudent approach requires application
for grants to help defray the expense of obtaining a feasi-
bility study; and
WHEREAS, the City Council agrees that funding partici-
pation through grants is highly desirable;
NON THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City
Manager to represent and act for the City in dealing with various
funding agencies for the purpose of seeking grants, providing
assurances and executing grant agreements for a feasibility study
for the Project Plan and Finance Plan for Reinvestment Zone #1.
The City Manager is hereby officially designated as the City' s
representative in this regard.
