RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING FEE AND
AMEND ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH THE FIRM
OF CORLETT, PROBST AND BOYD FOR A SLUDGE
DEWATERING SYSTEM AND RENOVATION OF SELECTED
EXISTING PLANT FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with the engineering
firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd for certain engineering work at the River Road
Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the original contract dated May 5, 1987, did not specify the
fees to be paid for Phase II and Phase III ;
WHEREAS, one portion of the work to be designed and constructed has been
identified, and the estimated cost of construction for a sludge dewatering system
is $1 ,179,000;
WHEREAS, the engineering firm has stated a maximum fee for Phases II and
III for the sludge dewatering system to be $82,530; and,
WHEREAS, under the original contract 80% of the maximum fee is paid for
design and 20% is paid for construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract dated May 5, 1987 between the City of Wichita Falls and
the engineering firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd is amended in Exhibit 1 to show
a maximum fee for Phase II to be $66,024 and for Phase III to be $16,506. All
other provisions of the May 5, 1987 contract remain unchanged.
