RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT 1986 CDBG UTILITY IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City has a contract with Opex, Incorporated, Olney, Texas
for the 1986 CDBG Utility Improvement Project;
WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $299,731.00;
WHEREAS, two change orders were approved by the City Manager which
delete $318.40 from the original contract amount leaving a final contract
price of $299,412.60;
WHEREAS, the contract has been completed, and the work has been inspected
and found acceptable by the City staff;
WHEREAS, the contractor has submitted a final invoice for work accom-
plished in the amount of $302,549.60; and,
WHEREAS, the City has previously made payments in the amount of $272,081.34,
leaving an amount due to the contractor of $30,468.26.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The 1986 CDBG Utility Improvement Project is hereby accepted and the
City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of $30,468.26 to the
contractor.
