RESOLUTION WAIVING RESOLUTION 2509, AS AMENDED,
TO ALLOW SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE TO RETAIN ALL
MONIES FROM REGISTRATION FEES ARISING FROM A
VOLKSMARCH TO BE HELD IN LUCY PARK ON SEPTEMBER
19 AND 20, 1987, FROM 7: 30 A.M. TO 3 : 00 P.M.
WHEREAS, the Sheppard Air Force Base Recreation Center
wishes to conduct a United States Air Force-sponsored and
American Volkssport Assocation-sanctioned event in Lucy Park
on September 19 and 20, 1987, from 7: 30 a.m. to 3 :00 p.m. ;
and,
WHEREAS, the Recreation Center requests a waiver of
Resolution No. 2509, as amended, to allow them to retain the
proceeds from registration at this event; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances
involved in this request are exceptional, and that such
waiver should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Resolution No. 2509, as amended, is hereby waived to
allow the Sheppard Air Force Base Recreation Center to
retain proceeds from registration for the Volksmarcv to be
held September 19 and 20, 1987, in Lucy Park.
