RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF
THE 1987 CD MILLING AND STREET OVERLAY PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Jake Holmes Company entered into
a contract dated March 17, 1987, for the construction of numerous streets
throughout Wichita Falls.
WHEREAS, such project has been completed in accordance with the plans
and specifications; and,
WHEREAS, such contract was a unit price contract and the final cost
based upon final quantities was $308,674.65; however, $289,753.65 has been
paid to the contractor, leaving a balance due of $18,921.00; and,
WHEREAS, this project was completed on June 2, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such project is accepted by the City of Wichita
Falls, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to pay to the contractor
the amount due as set out above.
