RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 2 AND
ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT
TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF THE HARVARD
STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract dated May
5, 1987 for the construction of the Harvard Street Reconstruction Project;
and,
WHEREAS, said project has been completed in accordance with the plans
and specifications, excepting only conditions described in field Change
Order Number 2 for which the contractor requests an additional $196.25; and,
WHEREAS, said contract was a unit P rice contract and the estimated
cost based on actual quantities with Change Order Number 2 is $19,152.58;
however, $18,131.78 has been paid to the contractor, leaving a balance due
of $1,020.80; and,
WHEREAS, this project was inspected and complete on May 8, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of said project is accepted by the City of Wichita
Falls, Change Order Number 2 is approved, and the City Manager is authorized
and directed to pay the contractor the amount as set out above.
