RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO FUND A
RECONNAISSANCE STUDY OF FLOODING ALONG PLUM
CREEK
WHEREAS, flooding along Plum Creek has inflicted damages to the citizens
of Wichita Falls in the past; and,
WHEREAS, these problems will likely occur in the future; and,
WHEREAS, th e U.S. Army Corps o f Engineers has a program in effect
which may grant the funding of Reconnaissance Studies for creeks with overflow
problems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council support the study of Plum Creek and authorize the
Mayor to sign the attached letter of request to the U.S. Army Corps of Engi eers.
