RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION ADOPTING CHAPTER 17 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE AS THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Article 4477-7c of the Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes
provides that each City and County shall review the provisions of Solid
Waste Management Services in its jurisdiction and shall ensure that such
services are provided to all persons within its jurisdiction by a public
agency or by a private person or persons;
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Health has advised all cities
that they should, through formal action, approve a Solid Waste Management
System Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Chapter 17 of the Wichita Falls Municipal Ordinance entitled
GARBAGE, REFUSE, RUBBISH AND TRASH, be adopted as the Solid Waste Management
System Plan for the City of Wichita Falls.
