RESOLUTION NO. — 7
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT FOR INJECTION OF
WASTEWATER TREATMENT SLUDGE INTO AGRICULTURAL LAND
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to dispose of digestedYP9
sludge from the Wastewater Treatment Plant on River Road by injecting the sludge
underground on agricultural land;
WHEREAS, Mr. Francis W. Raines owns approximately 57 acres of agricultural
land which he has agreed to make available for the sludge injection program; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract between the City
and Mr. Raines for the purpose of the sludge injection program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract is hereby approved and the City Manager is authorized
to execute the contract for the City.
