RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH THE FIRM OF
CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD, INC., CONSULTING ENGINEERS
FOR THE DESIGN OF A NEW BRIDGE AT HARDING STREET
SPANNING HOLLIDAY CREEK
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls in conjunction with U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers is widening and re-aligning the existing Holliday Creek channel;
WHEREAS, the bridge presently spanning Holliday Creek is not compatible
with the design of Holliday Creek and must be replaced in order to accomodate this
Public Works Project;
WHEREAS, the City Council has examined a proposed contract with the firm
of Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Inc., to design this bridge so that the construction
project can proceed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract with the firm Corlett, Probst & Boyd, inc. for redesign
of a new bridge at Harding Street spanning Holliday Creek within the City of
Wichita Falls is hereby approved in the amount not to exceed $50,000.00, and the
City Manager is authorized to execute the said con ract.
