RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF
THE KINGSTON—JAMAICA DRAINAGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Duke Concrete Construction Company
entered into a contract dated January 15, 1985, for the Kingston—Jamaica Drainage Project;
and,
WHEREAS, such project has been completed in substantial accordance with the plans
and specifications; and,
WHEREAS, such contract was the unit price contract and the total cost based on
completed quantities was $447,354.76; however, $425,432.64 has been paid to the
contractor, leaving a balance due of $21,922.12.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such project is accepted by the City of Wichita Falls, and the
City Manager is authorized and directed to pay the contractor the amount due as set out
above.
