RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT LAKE ARROWHEAD VARIABLE FREQUENCY
DRIVE PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Marvin Groves
Electric Company, Inc. , for the installation of a variable frequency drive motor
control for the Lake Arrowhead Pump Station;
WHEREAS, the work has been completed and the City staff has inspected
such work and found it acceptable;
WHEREAS, the original contract price of $168,914.00 was modified by
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $1 ,612.00, resulting in a total contract price
of $170,526.00;
WHEREAS, the contractor has previously been paid $152,216.64, leaving
an amount due of $18,309.36; and,
WHEREAS, an amount of $498.40 is to be deducted from the amount due for
a service call paid by the City of Wichita Falls, leaving a net amount due to the
contractor of $17,810.96.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to install a variable frequency drive motor control at the
Lake Arrowhead Pump Station is hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized
to make a final payment of $17,810.96 to the contractor, Marvin Groves Electric
Company.
