RESOLUTION ACCEPTING POLICE BUILDING RENOVATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Wallace and Raub
Construction Company, Inc. , entered into a contract dated
February 28 , 1986 , wherein the contractor, Wallace and Raub
Construction Company, Inc. , agreed to renovate and construct
offices, emergency operations center and communications center
in the Wichita Falls police headquarters building located at 610
Holliday Street in Wichita Falls , Texas; and,
WHEREAS, said renovations and construction have been completed
in accordance with the plans or certified by the City' s architect,
Daugherty and Glover, Architects and Engineers; and,
WHEREAS, the contract price for such construction was
364 , 400 . 00; six change orders amounting to $83 , 342 . 00 were made,
making the total amount due on said contract $447 , 742 . 00 . Of
this amount, $421,733 . 00 has been paid, leaving a balance due
the contractor of $26 , 009 . 00 , less a 1% retainage of $4 , 477 . 00
due one Y ear from the date of this payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to renovate and construct offices in the Wichita
Falls police headquarters building is accepted by the City of
Wichita Falls, and the City Manager is authorized to make final
payment to Wallace and Raub Construction Company, Inc. , in the
amount of $21,532 . 00 .
