RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 AND
AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT OVERLAY PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Zack Burkett Company as contractor,
entered into a contract September 1988. Wherein said contractor agreed to overlay
the parking lots and make minor improvements; and
WHEREAS, Change Order #1 for extra construction for an additional $2,986.17
increasing the original contract value of $60,403.00 to $63,389.17 has been recommended
by the engineer.
WHEREAS, such project has been completed in accordance with the plans and
specifications;
WHEREAS, such contract was a unit price contract, and the estimated quantities
plus change order #1 is now $63,389.17 of which $56,754.14 has been paid to the contractor,
leaving a balance of $6,635.03.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
Change Order #1 be approved and the construction of such project is accepted
by the City of Wichita Falls, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to pay
the contractor the amount due as set out above.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS the 20th day of December, 1988.
