RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AWARD OF BIDS FOR SELF-CONTAINED
BREATHING APPARATUS (SCBA) FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas has approved a plan for the replacement of the SCBA used
in the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Scott Air-Pak 4.5 Positive Pressure Unit has
several exclusive and/or potential features desirable to the
Fire Department that create a natural monopoly; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
from several vendors that supply the Scott Air-Pak 4.5 Positive
Pressure Unit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid for the purchase of SCBA be awarded to Vallen
Safety Corporation in the amount of $29,932.00
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 20th day of December, 1988.
