RESOLUTION EXPRESSING CITY OF WICHITA FALLS'
DESIRE TO BE INCLUDED IN WICHITA COUNTY
DESIGNATION AS AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND RE-
QUESTING NORTEX REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION
TO COORDINATE PREPARATION OF AN OVERALL
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THIS PURPOSE
WHEREAS, Wichita County has received notification from the
Economic Development Administration that because of the high
unemployment rate in the area, the County may now be eligible for
economic assistance; and,
WHEREAS, Nortex Regional Planning Commission will coordinate
preparation of Overall Economic Development Plan for Wichita
County as requested by the County and cities within Wichita
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls hereby expresses its desire to be
included within the Overall Economic Development Plan prepared
for the County and requests Nortex Regional Planning Commission
to coordinate preparation of said plan and submit it to the
Economic Development Administration for approval.
