RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF
THE MIDWESTERN PARKWAY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
FROM ARMORY ROAD TO STATE HIGHWAY 281
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract
dated July 19, 1988 for the Midwestern Parkway Reconstruction
Project from Armory Road to State Highway 281; and,
WHEREAS, said project has been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications, excepting only conditions described
in field Change Order #1 for which the contractor requests an
additional $6,374.90; and,
WHEREAS, said contract was a unit price contract and the
actual cost based on measured quantities with Change Order #1 is
$97,788.18; however, $88,009.36 has previously been paid to the
contractor, leaving a balance due of $9,778.82; and,
WHEREAS, this project was inspected and completed on
September 19, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of said project is accepted by the City of
Wichita Falls, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to
pay the contractor the amount as set out above.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 18TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1988.
