RESOLUTION TO SEEK DESIGNATION AS A
WASTE TREATMENT MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has the authority to
design, construct, operate and maintain new and existing waste
treatment works and related facilities; to raise revenues and
assess appropriate charges to assure that each participating
party pays its proportionate share of treatment costs; to accept
or refuse for treatment any wastes from any participating party;
to accept and utilize grants or other funds from any source for
waste treatment management purposes; and to carry out appropriate
portions of an area wide waste treatment or water quality
management plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls seeks designation as the
management agency for wastewater collection and treatment within
its planning area in Wichita County in accordance with the
requirements of Section 208 of the Federal Water Pollution
Control Act, as amended.
