RESOLUTION ENDORSING A PUBLIC - PRIVATE
COOPERATIVE EFFORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF A MODERN LIBRARY FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the Kemp Public Library Advisory Board recommends
that Wichita Falls be brought up to state and national standards
and a coordinated effort between the City and the Library Board
to put together an organized campaign to raise private moneys for
the library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls endorses a public - private
cooperative effort for the development for the city of a modern
library facility adequate to meet the needs of a population of
100,000. The City will work in cooperation with the Advisory
Board of Kemp Public Library and the Friends of the Library to
promote public awareness of the library's needs. Active pursuit
of publicity avenues will be the responsibility of the Advisory
Board and the Friends.
