RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE
COMPLETION OF THE UNDERGROUND SPRINKLER SYSTEM,
TREES, PLANTS AND GROUND COVER CONTRACT AT THE
SOFTBALL COMPLEX
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract
dated July 24, 1987, for the construction of the underground
sprinkler system, trees, plants and ground cover contract at the
Softball Complex; and,
WHEREAS, said project has been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the work has been completed for a cost of
$71,387.93, of which $55,839.60 has previously been paid to the
contractor, leaving a remaining balance of $15,548.33; and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it
to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The underground sprinkler system, trees, plants and ground
cover contract at the Softball Complex is hereby accepted, and
the City Manager is authorized to make final payment to the
contractor in the amount of $15,548.33.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 21ST DAY OF JUNE, 1988.
