RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, has adopted a budget to allow for the replacement of 1/4
of the protective clothing for the Fire Department in fiscal year
1987 -88; and,
WHEREAS, the Morning Pride "Tailed Turnout" protective
clothing system has several exclusive and /or patented features
desirable to the Fire Department that create a natural monopoly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to approve the purchase of
the Morning Pride "Tailed Turnout" protective clothing system up
to the amount of $25,000.00.
