A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF LAND FROM
WICHITA FALLS FAITH MISSION, INC. AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE
DEMOLITION AND CLEAN -UP OF SAID PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Wichita Falls Faith Mission, Inc. has offered to
donate their property at 400 Lamar Street to the City of Wichita
Falls; and
WHEREAS, the property is in need of demolition, clearing,
and clean -up; and
WHEREAS, bids have been received for the demolition and
clean -up of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls hereby accepts the
donation of Lots 1, 2, 3, and the northern five (5) feet of Lot
4, Block 125, Original Townsite of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with B.W. Strayhorn in the amount of $14,090.00 for
the demolition, clearing and cleaning of said property.
