RESOLUTION REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
FOR MIDWESTERN PARKWAY, FROM MAPLEWOOD TO TAFT
BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the provisions of the State Department of Highways
and Public Transportation Minute Order #86771, passed on January
27, 1988, a copy of which is attached hereto, and is made a part
thereof, providing for requested assistance in a reconstruction
project, for Midwestern Parkway from Maplewood Avenue to Taft
Boulevard, a distance of approximately 0.6 miles, in the City of
Wichita Falls, is acceptable to the City of Wichita Falls;
WHEREAS, this project was selected by the City of Wichita
Falls in cooperation with the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation in accordance with state and federal
regulations, therefore it is hereby ordered that the City of
Wichita Falls cooperate fully with the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation and fulfill its obligations so
stipulated in said minute order as being the responsibility of
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The provisions of Minute Order #86771 are hereby accepted
and assistance for reconstruction of Midwestern Parkwar is
