RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF REVENUE SHARING FUNDS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM TO
MEDIANS ON SEYMOUR HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the need and importance of beautifying City
street medians is recognized; and,
WHEREAS, the Clean Country organization has identified
Seymour Highway's medians between Loop 11 and Sunset Drive
as a key area needing tree and shrub plantings; and,
WHEREAS, Clean Country has solicited and received
commitments to buy half of the plant materials for these
medians; and,
WHEREAS, the importance of extending an irrigation
system to the trees and shrubs is recognized to ensure their
survival and growth; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated from the Revenue Staring
fund for park improvement the amount of $14,000. I
