RESOLUTION ADOPTING POLICY WHEREBY CITY
WILL CONSIDER EXTENDING WATER LINES TO
MEDIANS ON WHICH PRIVATE FUNDS HAVE BEEN
USED TO PLANT TREES AND SHRUBS
WHEREAS, the City desires to encourage private participation
in the beautification of street medians in the City, and also to
assure that trees and shrubs planted on medians by private funds
shall survive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
It shall be the policy of the City, when a private group
desires to raise funds to be used for the planting of trees and
shrubs on street medians within the City, the group must make a
request of the City Manager for funds to extend the water lines
to the medians and to construct an irrigation system for such
trees and shrubs. Such a request shall be reviewed by the City
Manager to determine whether the extension of the water lines and
the construction of the irrigation system are economically
feasible in the particular instance, and whether or not City
funds are available for such expen °�y ---
