RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3,
ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING FINAL
PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF
THE HILLCREST CDBG RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract
dated Ocotber 6, 1987, for the construction of the Hillcrest CDBG
Reconstruction Project; and,
WHEREAS, said project has been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications, excepted only conditions described
in Field Change Order No. 3, for which the contractor request an
additional $2,660.00; and,
WHEREAS, said contract was a unit price contract and the
estimated cost based on actual quantities with Change Order No. 3
is $126,963.89; however, $114,162.74 has been paid to the
contractor previously, leaving a balance due of $12,801.15; and,
WHEREAS, this project was inspected and substantially
complete on March 10, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of said project is accepted by the City of
Wichita Falls, Change Order No. 3 is approved, and the City
Manager is authorized and directed to pay the contracftor
amount as set out above.
