A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 1990 CENSUS TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, Census Day is April 1, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, the use of census data is important in allocating
state and federal funds, marketing and economic development, and
comprehensive planning; and,
WHEREAS, an important aspect of insuring an accurate and
complete count for the 1990 Census is to educate the public of
the importance of the 1990 Census; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to create the 1990 Census
Task Force to assist in educating the public of the importance of
the 1990 Census.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appointed the 1990 Census Task
Force comprised of 15 members.
SECTION 2. The primary purpose of the 1990 Census Task
Force is to promote the importance of the 1990 Census aAd educate
the public of that importance. T-
