RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATION FOR
PARK DEVELOPMENT IN LYNWOOD EAST PARK TO BE
SUBMITTED TO THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE
DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, matching funds may be available from the State of
Texas for the further development of Lynwood East Park, and it is
deemed advisable to make an application for a grant of such
matching funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby designated as the official who is
responsible for acting on behalf of the City in regard to this
matter, and he is hereby authorized to execute and submit to the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department an application for such a
grant in the amount of $60,000.00, which would be matched by an
equal amount of City funds. The City Manager is also authorized
to execute such assurances and other documents as are required,
and also to execute the grant agreement if it is approved and
offered by the State of Texas. It is also certified that the
City of Wichita Falls is eligible to receive assistance under
this program.
