RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH ENGINEERING
CONSULTING FIRM FOR DESIGN OF HOLLIDAY CREEK
SANITARY SEWER TRUNK MAIN
WHEREAS, the existing trunk line between sewer lift station 25
and the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant is near capacity during
dry weather flows and is being surcharged during wet weather flows;
WHEREAS, continued growth in the south and southwest portions of
the City will worsen the existing flow problems;
WHEREAS, the City desires to install a new major sanitary sewer
trunk main along the banks of the widened Holliday Creek channel;
WHEREAS, the City desires to secure the services of an
engineering firm for the design and administration of the project;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract with the
engineering firm of Biggs and Mathews, Incorporated for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed engineering contract with Biggs & Mathews,
Incorporated for the Holliday Creek Sanitary Sewer Trunk Main Project
is hereby approved with a maximum engineering fee of $262,600, and
the City Manager is authorized to execute said contra for he City.
