RESOLUTION TO APPROVE JOINT FUNDING AGREEMENT
WITH U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY FOR OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF STREAMFLOW AND RESERVOIR - CONTENT
GAUGING STATIONS
WHEREAS, the U.S. Geological Survey operates and maintains a series
of streamflow and reservoir - content gauging stations on the Little Wichita River
Watershed;
WHEREAS, the data from these stations are extremely important to the
City of Wichita Falls for the monitoring of waterflows into current reservoirs
and for the planning of future reservoirs;
WHEREAS, the City has historically shared with USGS in the cost of
operating and maintaining these stations; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has considered a proposed joint - funding agreement
with the USGS for the 1987 -88 budget year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The said joint- funding agreement is hereby approved with the City's
share of the cost to be $9,540.00. The City Manager is authorized to execute
the agreement.
