RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR
5 MG CONCRETE STORAGE TANK PROJECT AT CYPRESS
STREET WATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City has a contract with Preload Technology,
Inc. for construction of a 5MG ground storage tank at a contract
price of $998,916. 00;
WHEREAS, the tank is the dominant feature on the Cypress
Street Water Treatment Plant site and is highly visible on a main
entrance into the City;
WHEREAS, the City desires to have installed an exterior
coating that will provide an aesthetically pleasing color as a
background for the City logo; and,
WHEREAS, Preload has proposed a change order for $20, 000. 00
for the cost of materials only, bringing the contract total to
1, 018, 916. 00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $20, 000. 00 for the 5MG
concrete storage tank project at the Cypress Street Water
Treatment Plant is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to execute the change order.
