RESOLUTION ACCEPTING RESIGNATION OF BOB
BROTHERTON AS SUBSTITUTE JUDGE OF THE
MUNICIPAL COURT, AND CONSENTING TO THE
APPOINTMENT OF HIS SUCCESSOR.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 123-87, adopted August 4, 1987,
Bob Brotherton was appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of
the City Council, as a substitute judge of the Municipal Court
for a term of two years, ending August 31, 1989; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Brotherton has been appointed Judge of the 30th
District Court of Wichita County, and has tendered his
resignation as substitute judge of the Municipal Court; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Perry Goolsby has appointed Douglas Baker as
substitute judge of the Municipal Court, to act in the place and
stead of the Municipal Judge during any period during which he is
temporarily unable to act for any reason; such appointment is for
the remainder of Judge Brotherton, ending August 31, 1989.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The resignation of Bob Brotherton as substitute
judge of the Municipal Court of Wichita Falls is hereby accepted
with regret, with appreciation for his services in this capacity,
and with best wishes for him in his new judicial position.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby consents to the
appointment of Douglas Baker as substitute judge of the Municipal
Court for the remainder of Judge Brotherton' s term, ending August
31, 1989.
