RESOLUTION TO APPROVE PURCHASE OF HAND-HELD
METER READING SYSTEM FROM DATAMATIC, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls issued a Request for
Proposal for an electronic meter reading system consisting of
hand-held meter reading devices, accessory hardware and software,
and appropriate maintenance and training;
WHEREAS, the City received five proposals and a city staff
panel conducted a detail evaluation of the system proposed by
three of the five companies;
WHEREAS, the evaluation panel has recommended to Council
that the system of Datamatic, Inc. of Richardson, Texas be
purchased by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposal of Datamatic, Inc. to provide seven hand-held
electronic devices with accompanying hardware, software, and
maintenance and training is accepted in the amount of $28, 632 . 00
and the City Manager is authorized to execute an appropriate
purchase and maintenance agreement for this purpose.
