RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT 1988 SLUDGE HANDLING
FACILITIES PROJECT AS COMPLETE AT THE RIVER
ROAD WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND AUTHORIZE
CITY MANAGER TO MAKE A FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with M & F
Litteken Company for the construction of sludge handling
facilities at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the original amount of the contract was
$1,244,800.00 and five change orders with a total value of
$9,611.00 were approved and implemented during the progress of
the work;
WHEREAS, the final contract amount is $1,254,411.00 and the
contractor previously has been paid $1,197,877.00, leaving an
amount due of $56,534.00; and
WHEREAS, the staff has inspected the project and found it
acceptable, and has recommended acceptance of the project by the
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The 1988 Sludge Handling Facilities Project is hereby
accepted as complete and the City Manager is authorized to make a
final payment of $56,534.00 to M & F Litteken Company.
