RESOLUTION NO. 68 -89
RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ON MAY 6, 1989 FOR
COUNCILOR AT LARGE, COUNCILOR FOR DISTRICT 1
AND COUNCILOR FOR DISTRICT 2.
WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held in the Memorial Auditorium
building on the 11th day of May, 1989, at which time a quorum was
present, there came on to be considered the returns of the
municipal election held on the 6th day of May, 1989; and,
WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it
was found to be duly and legally held in all respects, and that
4,392 voters voted in said election, and that votes were cast as
follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said election was in all respects legally held in accordance
with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and the
ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls; that David Farabee was
duly and legally elected Councilor at Large; Michael A. Lam was
duly and legally elected Councilor, District 1; Angus Thompson
was duly and legally elected Councilor, District 2.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 11th day of May, 1989.
