RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATION
TO THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE, CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION FOR FUNDING OF A
CAMPUS DRUG ENFORCEMENT UNIT
WHEREAS, there is a substantial need to address the
drug problem centering around and on school campuses within
the city, and
WHEREAS, this area of enforcement deals with juvenile
and adult offenders in the same setting, and
WHEREAS, monies are available through the Criminal
Justice Division to address these special needs in drug
enforcement,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to make application for
a grant to fund the Campus Drug Enforcement Unit in the
.- =amount of $31,496, and he is authorized to sign the grant
agreement.
