RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATION
TO THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE, CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION FOR THE NARCOTICS
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is currently
operating a Narcotics Information Management System within
the Police Department under a grant from the Criminal
Justice Division of the Governor's Office, and
WHEREAS, this computerized information system provides
law enforcement officers throughout the twelve county Nortex
region with information concerning drug offenders in the
region, and
WHEREAS, this system provides law enforcement officers
with timely information and more effectively coordinates the
War on Drugs within this region,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to make said grant
application to the Criminal Justice Division of the
Governor's Office in the amount of $17,987, and he is
authorized to sign the grant. agreement.
