RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR GRAZING LEASES AT
LAKE KICKAPOO
WHEREAS, the City has certain properties surrounding Lake
Kickapoo which historically have been leased to the highest
bidder for grazing purposes;
WHEREAS, the current lease on the north and south side of
Lake Kickapoo will expire on April 30, 1989;
WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids for new leases on the
north side and on the south side of Lake Kickapoo; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has determined the highest bidder for
the north side lease to be McDaniel- Stone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
McDaniel -Stone is hereby awarded the lease for the north
side of Lake Kickapoo, a total of 1332.23 acres at an amount of
$9.57 per acre, an annual amount of $12,749.44. In addition, the
City accepts the bid of McDaniel -Stone to install certain
improvements with an estimated value of $0.97 per acre per year.
The City Manager is authorized to execute a lease with McDaniel -
Stone for the purposes stated.
