RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT JASPER PAINTING PROJECT
AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with G & S
Sandblasting and Painting Company for the performance of certain
specified work at city facilities;
WHEREAS, the work has been completed and the City staff has
inspected the work and found it acceptable;
WHEREAS, the contract was for $45,252.00 and the City has
previously made payments in the amount of $40,727.00 leaving a
amount due to the contractor of $4,525.00;
WHEREAS, the contractor is to be assessed 29 calendar days
in liquidated damages at the rate of $100.00 per calendar day;
and,
WHEREAS, the liquidated damages of $2,900.00 reduces the
amount due to the contractor to $1,625.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to paint selected City facilities is hereby
accepted as complete, and the City Manager is authorized to make
a final payment of $1,625.00 to G & S Sandblasting and Painting
Company.
