Res 030-89 3/7/1989RESOLUTION NO. 30 -89 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR CERTAIN PARCELS OF EXCESS REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF DEEDS. WHEREAS, fourteen parcels of excess real property have been advertised for sale to the general public; and, WHEREAS, sealed bids were opened on February 24, 1989, submitted by seventeen bidders who desire to purchase said property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The following parcels of real property located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, have been identified as excess and have been advertised for sale to the public by sealed bid: Parcel No. 1 1408 -1430 Midwestern Parkway The remainder of Lots 19 through 30, Block 21, Hillcrest Addition, less a fifteen foot wide strip off of the south side to be reserved for future highway right -of -way. Parcel No. 2 2300 Shepherd Remainder of Lot 1, Block 3, W. E. Wilson Addition. Parcel No. 3 2215 Shepherd Lot 14 -A, Block 2, W. E. Wilson Addition. Parcel No. 4 1528, 1530, 1532 Kell The remainder of Lots 8, 9, and 10, Block 5, Spivey Addition. Parcel No. 5 3100 & 3102 Kell Remainder of Lots 1 and 2, Block 10, J. W. Thomas Addition. Parcel No. 6 202 Patterson Lot 2, Block 109, Original Townsite. Parcel No. 7 1318 No. Seventh Lot 15, Block 15, Scotland Addition. Parcel No. 8 1308 No. Eighth Lot 20, Block 10, Scotland Addition. Parcel No. 9 1105 Bonds Lots 10, 11, 12, Block 24, Sibley- Taylor Addition, less the portion conveyed to the State of Texas for drainage in Volume 934, Page 563 of the Wichita County deed records. Parcel No. 10 2709 Sherman Lot 12, Block 13, Fairview Addition. Parcel No. 11 1417 Galveston Lot 8, Block 6, Sibley - Taylor Addition. Parcel No. 12 404 -410 Bonner Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, Block 1, Homewood Addition. Parcel No. 13 203 Eastside Drive Lot 13, less the west five feet, Block 108, Original Townsite. Parcel No. 14 804 Corwin Lot 5, Block 38, Original Townsite. SECTION 2. The highest bids received for the above described parcels were from the following persons: Parcel No. 1 William S. Stewart 526.50 No. 10 Kenneth Mayer 2,050.00 No. 11 Guy Mathews, Jr. 1,587.50 No. 12 David Brock 10.00 No. 13 David Brock 351.00 No. 14 Alfred Villalobos, Jr. 300.00 SECTION 3. The above high bids are hereby approved with the following exceptions: Parcel No. 4 Did not meet the required minimum of $8,400.00. Parcel No. 12 The $10.00 high bid is not adequate as the tax appraised value of the property is $2,225.00 Parcel No. 13 The $351.00 high bid for the lot and residence is not adequate as the tax appraised value is $5,832.00 SECTION 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to join with the officers of the other taxing entities in executing deeds for those properties acquired through delinquent tax suits, and the City Manager is authorized to execute the deeds for all tracts for which the City of Wichita Falls holds the title.
