RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR THEIR PROVIDING
FUNDS FOR AN AIDS PREVENTION AND SURVEILLANCE
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, in 1988, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public
Health District and the Texas Department of Health entered into a
contract, TDH Document No. C9000568, under which such Public
Health District provides certain public health services; and,
WHEREAS, the AIDS Division of the Texas Department of Health
is offering an amendment to such contract to provide an AIDS
Prevention and Surveillance Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
That certain contract, a copy of which is attached hereto,
being Attachment No. 07 to TDH Document No. C9000568, between the
City of Wichita Falls and the Texas Department of Health, whereby
such department shall provide funds for the salary, fringe
benefits, travel, equipment and supplies for an AIDS Prevention
and Surveillance Program, is hereby approved, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute the same for the City of Wichita
Falls and for the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health
District.
