RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT
WITH ENGINEERING CONSULTING FIRM FOR 1989
BUDGET UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the engineering firm
of Corlett, Probst & Boyd entered a contract on August 16, 1988
for the 1989 Budget Utility Improvement Project;
WHEREAS, the contract subsequently was amended on September
20, 1988;
WHEREAS, the City desires to add an additional sewer line to
the list of projects for extension;
WHEREAS, the engineering firm has stated a cost not to
exceed $10,000 for the additional work; and,
WHEREAS, Council has examined a proposed contract amendment
to incorporate the additional project and to increase the
engineering fee of the original contract, as amended on September
20, 1988, from $65,000 to $75,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract amendment to the August 16, 1988
contract between the engineering consultant firm of Corlett,
Probst and Boyd, Inc. and the City of Wichita Falls for the 1989
Budget Utility Improvement Project is hereby approved to
incorporate the engineering design of a sewer line between Lift
Station No. 6 and Lift Station No. 47. The engineering fee is
increased from the amount of $65,000 to an amount of $75,000.
The City Manager is authorized to execute the contract amendment.
