RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT AND APPROVE STATE DEPARTMENT
OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PROJECT FOR
THE WARNING SYSTEM AT A RAILROAD CROSSING ON THE
OLD HENRIETTA ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to enter into a
contract with the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation for the installation of warning system at a
railroad crossing on the Old Henrietta Road; and,
WHEREAS, the City is required to pay $3,500.00 of the cost
of this system, which represents 5% of the total cost, with the
remainder being borne by the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation; and,
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation will perform all design work and will award the
contract and perform construction supervision under the terms of
this contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract with the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation for the installation of a warning system at
a crossing on the Old Henrietta Road is hereby approved, and the
Mayor is authorized to sign the certification statement.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 7TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1989.
