Ord 041-84 4/3/1984 ORDINANCE NO. //V fyi AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING PORTIONS OF A • CERTAIN ALLEY AND EASEMENT, AND DURANGO STREET IN BLOCKS 81 AND 85, FAITH VILLAGE, UNIT III, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended that portions of a certain alley and easement, and Durango Street in Blocks 81 and 85, Faith Village, Unit III, Wichita Falls, Texas be closed subject to the final platting of Lot 1-A, Block 81, Faith Village, Unit III; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon portions of a cer- tain alley and easement, and Durango Street, hereafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The portion of a certain alley and easement, and Durango Street in Blocks 81 and 85, Faith Village, Unit III, Wichita Falls, Texas, being more speci- fically described as follows: A tract of land being a 7.75 foot alley out of Blocks 81 and 85, Faith Village, Unit III, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas and being more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point located at the most easterly southeast corner of Lot 5, Block 81, Faith Village, Unit III, said point being the southwest corner and place of beginning of this description; Thence North 000 06' West a distance of 7. 75 feet to a point, said point being the northwest corner of the herein described tract; Thence along the centerline of that certain alley created by Block 85, Faith Village, Unit III, a distance of 40.58 feet to a point, said point being the northeast corner of the herein described tract; Thence South 000 06' East a distance of 7.75 feet to a point, said point lying in the south right-of-way line of said 15.5 foot alley, said point being the southeast corner of the herein described tract; Thence along the south right-of-way line of said 15.5 foot alley, North 85 26' West a distance of 40.58 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.0072 acres, more or less; and, -2- A tract of land being a ten-foot utility easement out of Block 81, Faith Village, Unit III, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas and being more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point located at the northeast corner of Lot 3, Block 81, Faith Village, Unit III, said point being the northwest corner and place of beginning of this description; Thence South 85° 26' East a distance of 125.68 feet to a point, said point lying in the west right-of-way line of Kemp Boulevard, a dedicated street, said point being the northeast corner of this tract; Thence along the west right-of-way line of Kemp Boulevard, a dedicated street South 00 06' East a distance of 10.03 feet to a point, said point being the southeast corner of this tract; Thence North 85° 26' West a distance of 126.57 feet to a point, said point lying in the east line of Lot 3, Block 81, Faith Village, Unit III, said point being the southwest corner of this tract; Thence along the east line of Lot 3, Block 81, Faith Village, Unit III, North 05° 00' 22" East a distance of 10.00 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.029 acres, more or less; and, A tract of land being Durango Street, a dedicated street, out of Block 81 and 85, Faith Village, Unit III, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas and being more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point lying in the north right-of-way line of Durango Street, a dedicated street, said point being the northwest corner and place of beginning of this description; Thence along the north right-of-way line of Durango Street, a dedicated street, South 85° 26' East a distance of 40 feet to a point, said point being the northeast corner of this herein described tract; Thence South 00° 06' East a distance of 60 feet to a point, said point lying in the south right-of-way line of Durango Street, a dedicated street, said point being the southeast corner of this herein described tract; Thence along the south right-of-way line of Durango Street, a dedicated street, North 85 26' West a distance of 40 feet to a point, said point being the southwest corner of this herein described tract; Thence North 00° 06' West a distance of 60 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.055 acres, more or less; be and the same are hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned. -3- SECTION 2.
