AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A NORTH-SOUTH
ALLEY IN BLOCK 2, CANNON PARK ADDITION AND RETAINING A UTILITY
EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended that the north-south alley
in Block 2, Cannon Park Addition be closed subject to the retention of a utility
easement; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable and in the public interest
to close, vacate, and abandon the alley. hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The twelve (12) foot wide north-south alley in Block 2, Cannon
Park Addition bounded to the north by the south right-of-way line of Underwood
Street and to the south by the north right-of-way line of East Terral. ' Street is
hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves on the entire area
described in Section 1, a utility easement for the purpose of laying and maintaining
all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone,
television cable, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewer.
