Ord 065-84 6/5/1984 t ... .. • ORDINANCE NO. — AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN CLIFTS RESUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 1, BELLEVUE ADDITION, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended that a portion of an alley in Clifts Resubdivision of Block 1, Bellevue Addition be closed, vacated, and abandoned subject to a cross access being provided; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the portion of the alley hereafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The portion of a twenty (20) foot wide north-south alley in Clifts Resubdivision of Block 1, Bellevue Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas, being more specifically described as follows: A tract of land out of Clifts Resubdivision of Block No. 1, Bellevue Addition, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, and being more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point at the southeast corner of Lot 25 of said Clifts Resubdivision of Block 1, Bellevue Addition, said point is also lying in the west line of a 20-foot alley as shown on plat of said Clifts Resubdivision recorded in Volume 3, Page 19 of the Plat Records of Wichita County, Texas; THENCE East 20.00 feet to a point in the east line of said 20-foot alley; THENCE along the east line of said 20-foot alley South 281.41 feet to a 5/8" iron rod set in the north right-of-way line of U.S. Highway No. 277; THENCE South 80° 06' 41" West, along said north right-of-way line, a distance of 20.30 feet to a 1/2" iron rod for the southeast corner of Lot 19 of said Clifts Resubdivision and the intersection of said north right-of-way line and the west line of said 20-foot alley; THENCE North, leaving said north right-of-way line along the west line of said 20-foot alley, a distance of 284.90 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.13 acres, more or less. be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned. 4 . -2- SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the filing with the Wichita County Clerk, of an access easement by the property owner, granting reasonable access from a public street to the remaining open section of the alley, said easement being granted to the other property owners of the block.
