ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND
ACQUIRED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS ON KELL FREEWAY IS
NO LONGER NEEDED FOR HIGHWAY OR PUBLIC TRANSPORTA-
TION PURPOSES AND RECOMMENDING THAT THE STATE SELL
SUCH LAND.
WHEREAS , the State of Texas acquired the hereinafter described
tract of land on Kell Freeway for highway purposes, and the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation has recommended
that such land is surplus to the State' s needs, and that the same
be sold.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
That certain tract of land, which is shown as Tract No . 17
and described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein, is no longer needed for highway or public transportation
purposes by the citizens or City of Wichita Falls, and it is
recommended that the State sell such tract of land in accordance
with the statutes of the State of Texas.

Being a part of Lots 25 and 26 in Block 7 , Sibley-Taylor Addition
in the town of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas , according to
a map or plat of said Addition recorded in Book 2, Page 132 of the
Map or Plat Records of Wichita County, and being the same property
described in a deed from Southside Assembly of God Church to the
State of Texas dated August 14 , 1969 , recorded in Volume 1066, Page
502, Deed Records of Wichita County, Texas, containing an area of

angle, said point being in the West line of Lot 26 and
45 .0 feet North of the Southwest corner of Lot 26;
THENCE N 0° E continuing along the West line of Lot 26 , a
distance of 5 .0 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 26 ;
THENCE S 0° E along the East line of Lots 26 and 25, a distance
of 90 . 0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing
an area of 5 ,0612 . square feet of land, more or less .
