ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 4-15, 22-1 (a) 8 AND
22-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES , TO ALLOW THE
SALE, POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER IN
JAYCEE PARK AT THE RED RIVER CHILI CHAMPIONSHIP
ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 , 1984 .
WHEREAS, plans are underway to hold the Red River Chili
Championship on Saturday, September 22, 1984, in Jaycee Park, and
the Jaycees and the Board of Commerce and Industry have requested
permission for beer to be sold at such event; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances involved
in this situation are exceptional, and that a waiver of Sections
4-15, 22-1 (a) 8 and 22-4 of the Code of Ordinances should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The requirements of Sections 4-15 , 22-1 (a) 8 and 22-4 of the
Code of Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the sale, possession
and consumption of beer at such Red River Chili Championship in
Jaycee Park on Saturday, September 22 , 1984 .
