Ord 090-84 8/7/1984 ORDINANCE NO. 9. --,f171- ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 22-1 (a) 9 AND 22-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER AND THE POSTING OF AD- VERTISING MATERIAL IN JAYCEE PARK FOR THE TRIATHLON. WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Runners Club and Falls Distributing are co-sponsoring a Triathlon in the Jaycee Park beach area on September 15, 1984, and they have requested that the City Council waive certain ordinances to allow the possession and consumption of beer and the posting of advertising banners in the Jaycee Park beach area for such event, as they desire to post such advertising banners and to provide free beer to the contestants at the comple- tion of the event; and, WHEREAS, it appears that the circumstances concerning this request are exceptional, and that the request should be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The provisions of Sections 22-1 (a) 9 and 22-4 of the Code of Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the possession and consumption of beer and the posting of advertising material in Jaycee Park for the Triathlon in the Jaycee Park beach area on September 15, 1984 .
